Corporate Overview
RBC Incorporated, is an information and engineering management company recognized as an industry leader in the development of innovative solutions and approaches for the acquisition, development and support of complex computer based systems. From its beginning in 1975, RBC has grown into a diversified organization offering solutions to problems encountered in systems planning, design and development, cost analysis, program management, business and process re-engineering. The company's name is derived from the initials of Mr. Rowland Bell, one of RBC's founders, who continues as RBC's President/CEO.
RBC provides systems management and technical services to government and industry at all levels of management and in many technology areas. RBC's first contract was with the Department of the Navy to provide engineering management support to the Naval Air Systems Command for the acquisition and development of the P-3 aircraft weapon systems. Further support and development of new versions of the P-3 for the Naval Air Systems Command led to contracts for providing acquisition management, software requirements definition, systems engineering, and Foreign Military Sales support services. Since 2003 RBC has been at the forefront of acquisition and program planning of the Boeing 737 based P-8A aircraft slated to replace the aging P-3. RBC was proud to have played a role in the successful fleet introduction of P-8A in 2013. RBC also currently supports airborne ASW sensor acquisition and program management; and test and evaluation planning for The Navy Broad Area Maritime Surveillance UAS program.
The company has grown from a strong base of engineers and managers concerned with major weapons system acquisition problems into a technically diversified organization that supports government and industrial clients from operational sites in Maryland, and Virginia. RBC has evolved into a systems engineering/management firm that is well known for high quality work and a customer orientation.
