Systems Engineering
· Systems Planning
Defines systems software and systems hardware acquisition strategies, prepare acquisition plans and assess alternatives relative to cost, schedule and major acquisition decision milestones.
· Requirements Definition and Specification Development
Develops system requirements, system specifications, integration plans and interface design specifications; assess current and planned computer technologies; and conduct independent engineering analyses and studies.
· Tactical Software Development
Develops and codes real-time software, evaluate software impact on systems interoperability, evaluate system test software, and prepare software logistics documentation.
· Software Development and Life Cycle Support
Evaluates software modularity and flexibility and evaluate software impact on systems interoperability. Prepares software logistics documents. Systems analysts and programmers evaluate requirements, define system architectures, and design and code software solutions for financial tracking, budgeting, scheduling and process management.
· Systems Engineering Management
Conducts technology assessments, production evaluations, organizational analyses of operations, investigation of automation solutions, cost forecasting and modeling, and project activity modeling.
· Business Process Re-engineering
Evaluates and provides solutions for the application of commercial off-the-shelf and custom developed software applications to business problems. Evaluate and provide programmatic as well as technology solutions.
· Training Systems Development and Support
Provides technical and programmatic support for training devices and simulator development and acquisition.
· Cost Estimating and Analysis
Estimates and analyzes development, production and operating costs for systems and programs, including combat weapon systems; underwater surveillance and ASW systems; computer hardware and software systems; and naval ship, submarine and aircraft electronic systems.
· Cost Modeling
Develops fast, flexible cost models to support the cost-estimating and analysis process, reliably mirroring the extent and influence of cost elements on client programs or systems.
· Financial Management
Provides management of large complex financial databases, budget development, expenditure tracking, accounts payable documentation processing, account reconciliations and contract closures.
· Acquisition Support
Applies its extensive knowledge of system-acquisition procedures and system production, testing, installation, and support requirements in developing Statement Of Work and technical inputs for acquisition packages and contract modifications which fully support client acquisition objectives.
· Contractor Performance Measurement
Provides independent analyses of contractor performance, C/SCSC and CPRs including participation on Tri-Service Validation reviews of major defense contractors.
· Integrated Logistics Support
Provides services in ILS planning, fleet support, spares tracking, readiness-based sparing and ILS cost back-up documentation.
· Training
Teaches courses in cost estimating and analysis, cost modeling, requisition management and financial management to both government and industry.
